Little lawbreaker

A planned camping trip had to be rescheduled last weekend because I was under the weather (and the weather wasn't great on Saturday anyway), so we made do with a Sunday day trip down to Cedar Hill State Park, where we discovered this little patch of bluebonnets.

Our state flower is the pefect size for grabbing, and I picked a couple of flowers, despite prohibitions and my dad's best efforts.

It's a little known fact that bluebonnets are also delicious. Spoilsport dad fished it out of my mouth, unfortunately.

A meal of bluebonnets is the perfect precursor to a night of sucking limes at Uncle Julio's.
